It was my third time already. I went there in 2002 and 2005, and I was surprised to see changes, additions and improvements. Although we're quite hungry upon arriving, we opted to tour around the area because I was very excited to see what's new. We started walking to view the nipa huts and the peacocks (male peafowl). I'm amazed of how colorful they can be.
I feel so silly while taking their pictures because I kept on urging them to fan their 'tail' (colored plumage). I failed of course because I guess they're not in the mood to court. I understand that when they fanned their train, they are actually courting a female peafowl. Nice, huh. I think it's baliktad, I'd prefer that the female peafowl should have that colorful train! OK, erase that, it's so rude of me to question God's greatness. Anyways, would you agree that the peacock on the left has turquoise colored head? :p And here's another interesting one, a white peacock-
After we toured a bit further and visited the chapel, we headed at the Salo-Salo Dining Hall for a snack. Of course, we had a series of snapshots on our way there.

We're so full that after resting for a few minutes, we decided to finish our tour. This time, we headed to the Garden of Saints. We stopped by the wishing well and dropped coins. And yes, we actually made a wish.

Next stop was the maze which I still haven't seen before and obviously an addition to the park. We had our funtime and bouts of laughter during the trail and especially at the bridge inside it. I assumed our laughter and shrieks were heard for about a kilometer away. That's how happy we were!
me at the bridge (liked it!)
I'm the happiest I think upon seeing the man-made pond after crossing the bridge. But not so happy though upon seeing the ostrich! Grabe, it's so tall, mas mataas pa sya sa 'kin. Funny, I felt stupid, as if I have no idea how tall it is! ha ha Good thing it can't reach me. So we're free to capture our jump shots! :) And taking pictures of the (domestic) ducks.
That sunday afternoon was very meaningful for us. Not only because of the bonding time but because two of us had a tearful confrontation before the trip. I'm not involved but I cried too. Geez, I'm such a crybaby! Anyhow, all was well. Otherwise, the trip won't materialize. And that day made us even stronger as friends. It solidified more our friendship of almost 3 decades. Nothing could ever destroy that.
Well, that's another place on our visited list. And there are more to come.
